A Message From The Alumni Association President

Since the founding of Lafayette College in 1826, generous and dedicated alumni have supported the college long past their graduation day. Our shared experiences as students, and the lifelong friendships we have formed on campus, energized and inspired generations of alumni to give their time and other resources to Lafayette. Our tradition of involvement and our extraordinary commitment to our community is what keeps us connected.

At Lafayette – where the arts, sciences, and engineering all coexist – students have the unique opportunity to work across these disciplines, developing the broader perspective that is so important in a rapidly changing world. Lafayette’s alumni support this in many ways, including sponsoring internships and externships for current students, sharing their expertise through participation in alumni-sponsored events, helping with the admissions effort, and through financial support.

On behalf of the Alumni Association, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed over the past year with your gifts, time, and efforts. We are all pulled in so many directions so I am especially grateful you chose to give your time and talent to our alma mater. Your recognition in these pages is a small token of the College’s appreciation for your contributions to Lafayette’s ongoing mission – educating and empowering the leaders of tomorrow. You have set the standard for all alumni, demonstrating how to strengthen the Lafayette family to which we all belong, and I welcome all alumni to join in these efforts.

We are proud of the foundation that we share and are excited about building a stronger future for the next generation at one of America’s truly great undergraduate institutions. We celebrate Lafayette where we live connected. And because we live connected, we will lead change!
